Today, at the European Commission, a quadrilateral meeting at political level of all parties to the negotiation over a treaty relating to Gibraltar's future relationship with the EU was held.
This represents a significant milestone in the discussions and, no doubt, a historic moment for Gibraltar as progress is made towards a treaty - with key points on the airport, goods and mobility said to have been agreed, discussions will likely now go ‘into the tunnel’ for final drafting of the treaty in the coming weeks.
European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo met in Brussels on Friday 12 April. www.yourgibraltartv.com/...
